Parks and Recreation has requested wildlife and general photos taken in City Parks. They especially want photos taken in the preserve area of Shane Kelly Park, but any other city park photos will be provided to them for their use. Please email the club when your photos are ready to upload..

Happy New Year and welcome to the 2017 version of the Oviedo Photo Club. We have started the year on a high note by hanging our biggest installation to date at the Casselberry Art House. The show is titled "What We See" and there are 77 photos in the show. There are many different subjects and styles of photos that display the varied interests of members. The show is open through January 27th and the gallery is open from 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM weekdays. There is a reception on January 13th from 6:00 - 8:00 PM and we hope to see you there.
We will also be starting our Volunteer Activities later this month with the Dr. Martin Luther King Day Celebration on the 16th and then, on the 21st, both Cops 'n Cars for Kids and the Orlando Concert Band at St. Luke's.
If you haven't already signed up for one of these events please do so by clicking the link in this newsletter. We are also looking for a Volunteer Coordinator to help us ensure we have coverage for all of our events. And a field trip coordinator to plan our monthly excursions.
Finally, membership renewals are due for most of us. Please be sure to either renew at a meeting or by PayPal on our website.

We are hosting a reception at The Casselberry Art House as part of our exhibition. Please join us for light refreshments while enjoying the over 70 photographs on exhibit by 17 of our members. This is the only opportunity to see the show at night. Normal gallery hours are 10:00 am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday. |

FIELD TRIP - JANUARY 14 - JUNKYARD

TIME: 9:00 am (they close at 12 on Saturday)
This is a great place to photograph old cars from the 30's up to the 80's. There are over 150 classic cars on the lot, American trucks, jeeps and SUV's fro the 80's to 2004, and they are a full service replying center. There are all kinds of interesting items surrounding the office as well. Check out the GALLERY from our 2014 field trip there. It rained on the first day we went, but we liked it so much that several of us stayed and took photos in the rain then returned the following Saturday to take more photos.

ZENFOLIO DO'S & DON'TS.
This will be a workshop on the Zenfolio website. We will be breaking up into several small groups with an instructor at each. We will have both PC & Mac available but both work the same once you are in the Zenfolio site. We will cover signing into the site, the difference between groups and galleries, the difference between public and non public areas, locating your non-public group, uploading to a gallery in your non-public group, creating groups and galleries in your personal non-public and public galleries, changing copyrights and copying photos to public galleries. We will also cover what you shouldn't do in Zenfolio.
